Our community is grappling with a devastating crisis: families are drowning under the weight of skyrocketing private school tuition. Parents with large families are stretched thin, working multiple jobs to cover basic needs, yet still falling short. This relentless strain is leaving parents physically and emotionally drained, unable to be fully present for their children, and creating a home environment filled with stress and uncertainty.
Our schools are also suffering. Underfunded and unable to pay fair wages, they are losing talented teachers who must take second jobs to survive. Meanwhile, schools are adding more fees each year, further deepening the burden on already struggling families.
This unsustainable cycle is tearing families apart and weakening the foundation of our community. It’s time for immediate action to provide relief and restore balance.

In response to this urgent need, we are launching the
Jewish Education Scholarship Fund—a beacon of hope designed to bring lasting relief to our community.
1. endowmment model
We will invest the funds raised and use only the interest earned to provide support. Every million dollars invested will fund one full class for life. Based on an estimated 6% annual return, each million will generate $60,000, with $40,000 allocated to struggling families for tuition assistance and $20,000 given as a bonus to teachers. While this is our projected return, actual performance may vary depending on market conditions and other factors.

Each year, $40,000 will be allocated to assist struggling families with their tuition fees. To ensure the fund doesn't lead to increased tuition, parents will negotiate their rates directly with schools before any money is distributed. By allocating funds only after the school year starts, we prevent schools from raising fees in response to the fund, easing the financial burden on families and focusing the pressure on fundraising rather than on already strained households.
3. teacher bonuses
Additionally, $20,000 will be awarded annually as a bonus to the teacher of the funded class. This investment in competitive compensation will help us attract and retain exceptional educators who are essential to our children’s success.
